Agriculture in Europe is a sector under stress. The emerging globalisation and price liberalisation portend significant risks for farmers.

If the climate and all the meteorological parameters associated with agricultural perils were also to change systematically, the economic viability of many agricultural enterprises in Europe would be seriously threatened.

The focus report aims to give managers in the insurance industry as well as lobbyists and politicians a set of useful ideas and arguments for the debate on the changing risk profile in European agriculture.
