Roger Ferguson
Roger Ferguson joined Swiss Re in June 2006 as Member of the Executive Board, Financial Market Strategist and Chairman of Swiss Re America Holding Corporation. In October 2006, he was appointed Head of Financial Services and Member of Swiss Re’s Executive Committee.
Prior to his employment at Swiss Re, Mr Ferguson served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of the US Federal Reserve System and, from 1984 to 1997, was an Associate and Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he managed a variety of studies for financial institu-tions, and was Director of Research and Information Services. From 1981 to 1984, he was an attorney at the New York City office of Davis Polk & Wardwell, where he worked on syndicated loans, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and new product development.

Thomas Hess
Thomas Hess has been Chief Economist of Swiss Re in Zurich and is head of Economic Research & Consulting with groups in Zurich, New York, Hong Kong, London and India. He is the editor of sigma, Swiss Reinsurance research publication, since 1994. The work of the groups is focused on analyzing the worldwide macro economic environment and capital markets as well as insurance and reinsurance markets worldwide, including the ART markets.
Mr. Hess started his career in 1981 at the Centre for Research of Economic Activity of the Technical University of Zurich, becoming a member of its Executive Board in 1990. In this capacity, he was responsible for business cycle and financial market analysis and forecasting of the research institute.

Philip Lotz
Philip Lotz is CEO of Swiss Re's Capital Management and Advisory activity. Philip joined Swiss Re in 2000 as Co-Founder of Swiss Re Financial Products.
He helped develop Swiss Re's strategy of becoming a leading participant in the convergence of the insurance and capital markets.
Mr Lotz has 27 years of financial markets experience, starting as a Money Market Arbitrage Trader for Chemical Bank in 1979. In 1984 Mr Lotz joined Greenwich Capital Markets (GCM) where he successfully established and built various trading desks and product-lines for the US and non-Dollar Markets. After 13 years trading, Philip became Managing Director, Chief Administration Officer in London, for Greenwich NatWest.
