John R. Coomber

John R. Coomber became Chief Executive Officer of Swiss Re Group on January 1, 2003, succeeding Walter Kielholz. He is responsible for the overall direction of Swiss Re and its three business units: Property & Casualty, Life & Health and the Financial Services Business Group. Mr. Coomber was previously responsible for the Group's life and health business, where he directed the profitable and substantial growth of the unit, turning Swiss Re into the world's largest life and health reinsurer, which today earns almost half of its premiums in that sector. Mr. Coomber has been a Member of the Executive Board since April 1995.

Jacques E. Dubois

Jacques E. Dubois, Member of the Executive Board, is Chairman of Swiss Re America Holding Corporation, the holding company for all of Swiss Re's operations in the United States and Chairman of Swiss Re Life & Health America. In addition, as Deputy Head of Swiss Re Life & Health Global, he is also responsible for Swiss Re's life and health reinsurance business in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Australia.

Werner Schaad

Werner Schaad is the Chief Underwriting Officer of Swiss Re's Property & Casualty Business Group in Zurich. He is responsible for underwriting, product and risk management and business steering for Swiss Re's non-life reinsurance business. Trained as a civil engineer, Mr. Schaad joined Swiss Re in 1984 as an earthquake specialist. He initiated various catastrophe risk projects and models and built up and managed Swiss Re's Cat Perils unit in Zurich. Between 2000 and 2002 he served as Swiss Re Group's Chief Risk Officer for the Americas Division Armonk, NY.
