The Alzheimer’s Society

 In 2008, Swiss Re will be supporting the Alzheimer’s Society, the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia and those who care for them.

There are 700,000 people with dementia in the UK with numbers set to rise to one million by 2025.

The Alzheimer's Society provides information and support for people with all forms of dementia and those who care for them. It runs quality care services, funds research, advises professionals and campaigns for improved health and social care and greater public understanding and awareness of dementia.

Dementia affects millions of families: one in three older people will end their lives with dementia. Swiss Re’s support will go a long way in raising awareness of dementia, and providing care, information and advice to people living with dementia across the UK.
