Products and Services
Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS)
Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) through its broker dealer, Swiss Re Capital Markets (SRCM), has played a leading role in the development of the ILS market and is a leading underwriter in the sector.
Environmental and Commodity Markets
Environmental and Commodity Markets provides financial protection from noncatastrophic weather and environmental conditions that adversely affect earnings. These products are structured to diminish volumetric and price risks associated with the impact of weather, greenhouse gases and commodity markets.
Credit
Credit originates, structures, trades and manages a broad range of credit products (CDOs, credit derivatives, repackaged securities and related cash instruments) to facilitate issuance, investment, and/or risk management objectives.
Rates
Rates has strong focus on value-added derivative hedges (interest rate and cross-currency swaps and options) creating effective, complex hedging solutions. Rates is also active in the structured note arena, where it provides structured hedges and notes to investors.
Equity and Equity-Linked
Equity and Equity-Linked creates customized investment or risk management solutions and serves as a counterparty or investor in a broad range of structured equity solutions. Products include derivatives linked to portfolios of equities or actively managed funds, highly customized hedging solutions for insurance and corporate clients, and equity-linked investments.
Treasury
Treasury provides funding solutions for client needs. Some of the programs available are specific asset-based funding, warehousing, cash-flow defeasance, collateral management and contingent liquidity. Treasury can offer market-oriented transactions, tailor-made structures, and global cash flow capabilities.
