Driver Safety - Machine Guarding
Machines and power tools have moving parts that can cut or severely injure workers. Some may have moving belts that can catch a worker’s clothing or body while others may hurl objects or release sparks. To reduce the chance of injury, the machines and power tools should have adequate safeguards to keep workers out of harm’s way. Workers should also be trained in the proper use of safeguards and to never remove them unless appropriate lockout/tagout procedures have been put into place.
