In addition to our traditional Excess Liability offerings, Swiss Re’s Industrial Risk Insurer (IRI) has introduced a new Lead Umbrella policy to retail brokers and risk managers in the United States.
IRI’s Lead Umbrella offering enables the transfer of catastrophic risk to a stable, high-quality carrier. Recognizing that Lead Umbrella placement is one of the most important risk management decisions a corporate buyer can make, Swiss Re’s IRI is committed to developing innovative Lead Umbrella solutions through the use of our extensive resources and industry expertise, from underwriting to claims management.

- 90-day coverage for newly-formed or acquired companies
- Minimum premium of USD 250,000 required
- Our Lead Umbrella policies are underwritten on our North American Elite carrier, which is available in 46 US states
