Our Industrial Risk Insurer team shares expertise and product offerings at DVS Symposium in Germany
Our Industrial Risk Insurer (IRI) team of experts participated for the third consecutive year at the 2009 Deutscher Versicherungs-Schutzverband (DVS) Symposium, one of Germany's leading gatherings for the insurance and risk management industries. A record of 500-plus delegates attended this year’s event -- held in Munich from 8 to 10 September -- which included exhibition stands and several panel discussions.
During the three-day event, our IRI team members actively networked with corporate clients, risk managers and industry experts. At Swiss Re’s stand on the trade show floor, the IRI team presented the broad range of services and solutions available to clients, both in Germany and around the world, through its regional EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) team and its dedicated, global Industry Practices. In addition to being one of the official event sponsors, Swiss Re's commitment to this key industry gathering was enhanced through scores of client meetings, as well as the attendance of Rudolf Flunger, Head of Insurance & Specialty division, who participated in a panel discussion focused on the impact of the financial crisis on the insurance industry.

For the past three years, our active participation at DVS has been a helpful catalyst in building awareness of the company’s broad, global insurance capabilities. At this year's event, for example, the Swiss Re logo was prominently displayed on the trade floor, main conference programme, welcome coffee break and plenary sessions. Our new advertising campaign -- touting the firm's innovative corporate insurance solutions -- was placed in Business Insurance and VersicherungsPraxis to coincide with the DVS Symposium.
