CatNet is a service provided by the Catastrophe Perils unit/ Non-life Business Group of Swiss Re. It offers comprehensive information of worldwide natural hazard data on the internet. It focuses primarily on NatCat insurance business and enables the user to obtain a quick overview of natural hazard data worldwide using an interactive atlas.
Insurance information on a country-by-country basis procures data on the insurance situation in specific countries as well as loss experience and loss potentials. CatNet currently offers information on 24 markets (Australia, Belgium, Canada, China (incl. Hong Kong), Colombia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Portugal, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, USA, UK ). The information is compiled and maintained by the Non-life Business Group unit Catastrophe Perils and the market divisions of Swiss Re.
