The Products business function is the driving force behind product development, underwriting excellence and claims management at Swiss Re. It encompasses the Property & Specialty, Casualty, Life & Health and Claims & Liability Management divisions.
The Products business function actively promotes innovation and the development of new, superior products which meet the increasingly demanding requirements of Swiss Re’s clients. It also deploys Swiss Re’s knowledge and expertise to promote underwriting excellence and to provide standard criteria for risk pricing in life and non-life business. Key mandates of this business function include managing the insurance cycle to consistently optimise long-term profit levels, and implementing client-focused claims management standards in all markets and lines of business.
