Martin Albers
Member of the Executive Board and Head of Client Markets Europe
Martin Albers was appointed to the Executive Board in January 2002 and Head of Risk Solutions in June 2002. He became Head of Client Markets Europe in September 2005.
Mr Albers, a Swiss citizen born in 1960, graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich in 1985 with a master’s degree in engineering, and in 1991 earned an MBA from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, Chicago.
He joined Swiss Re as head of Product Controlling in 1994, after having worked for over three years with Boston Consulting Group. In 1996 he became head of property and casualty business in Canada and, in 1999, in the UK. Mr Albers was appointed to the Executive Board in January 2002. In June 2002, he became Head of Risk Solutions in the Financial Services Business Group.
