Jonathan Isherwood
Member of the Executive Board, Global Head of Claims and Liability Management
Jonathan Isherwood was appointed Global Head of Claims and Liability Management and also became Member of the Executive Board of Swiss Re effective 1 January 2007.
Jonathan Isherwood is a British citizen, born in 1966. He received an M.A. in economics from Cambridge University in 1989. He started his career as a consultant at Ernst & Young in 1991 and moved on to GE Capital as an audit/consulting leader in 1994.
In 2000 Mr. Isherwood joined GE Insurance Solutions to build the Risk Management team and thereafter led the Global Property Division.
In 2005 he became CEO of GE Frankona AG (Germany) and Chairman of the Board ERC Copenhagen. In addition he had global responsibility as President of Product Strategy of GE Insurance Solutions.
He joined Swiss Re as Head of Product Integration following the acquisition of Insurance Solutions from General Electric. He was recently promoted to Head of Claims and Liability Management effective 1 January 2007.
He is married and has three children.
