Climate change already touches every aspect of our lives. As global temperatures rise, its impact will become even more extreme. Ten of the world’s top photographers put together a single volume illustrating the phenomenon’s effects in a variety of countries and environments around the globe.
NorthSouthEastWest looks at ice-caps, mega-cities, rice fields, townships, islands, forests and much more through the prism of climate change. It deals with the threats that millions face to their food supplies, fresh water, health, culture and even existence. However, it also presents a range of solutions that may stave off the worst of the crisis. Some of them are big, some small; some are simple, others technically complex. But all are part of the battle to stop climate change getting out of hand. Swiss Re is proud to be one of the main sponsors of this artistic examination of the issue.
