Schauspielhaus Zürich

The Schauspielhaus Zurich is Switzerland’s largest theatre and one of the most influential in the German-speaking world.

Schauspielhaus Zürich

At its two locations – Pfauen and Schiffbau – this world-class ensemble performs both classical and contemporary works of international theatre, giving subtle expression to human characters, their destinies and passions. The theatre's analysis of human behaviour and its broader social commentary radiate beyond the confines of the theatre audience into the world at large – invariably prompting media reviews.

Swiss Re is a partner of the Schauspielhaus Zurich, offering financial support for one production per season. In the current season 2007/2008, Swiss Re is sponsoring Molière’s "Tartuffe", directed by Matthias Hartmann.
