Solar Impulse New York events

In June, Solar Impulse landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport, the last stop before its Atlantic Ocean crossing.

It spent several days in New York, enabling Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and the Solar Impulse team to celebrate our shared commitment to clean technology through two memorable events.

On Tuesday, June 14, we hosted clients and brokers at the Solar Impulse partner reception. Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres as they mingled with the Solar Impulse team beneath the legendary aircraft. The highlight of the evening was a joint speech given by Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg, which offered a glimpse into the plane's historic journey. The pilots then hosted a partner panel, where Sylvain Bouteillé, Head of Sales North America, discussed Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' contribution to the mission and clean technology.

The next day, our colleagues from the New York tristate area experienced history. Employees and their families visited the famous plane and watched a video about the mission. A few lucky participants took home Solar Impulse gear to commemorate the occasion.
