Collegium Novum Zurich
In its Zurich concert series and guest performances, the Collegium Novum Zurich focuses on contemporary music, setting out deliberately to relate it not only to older music, but also to other fields of artistic endeavour.
Swiss Re has been the Collegium Novum's main sponsor since 1999.
Founded in 1993, the Collegium Novum focuses on contemporary music, seeking to promote it in innovative ways and perform it to a high standard. At the same time contemporary music production is set in context to music of bygone epochs. Collegium Novum celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2013 and Swiss Re congratulates the ensemble on this milestone.
The Collegium Novum consists of 26 soloists and produces everything from solo to full ensemble performances. Important components of its artistic work are the direct contacts with the composers and the exchanges with partner organizations such as the Zurich University of the Arts as well as the experimental studio of SWR, the Southwest German broadcasting group.
We have a long-standing commitment to corporate responsibility and strive to implement this across our business. Our performance has received high ratings from independent third-party organisations.
