Swiss Re broadens commitment to Corporate Citizenship

Swiss Re Americas Holding Chairman Walter A Bell is joining the national board of governors of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF). The IICF combines the collective resources and talents of the insurance industry to give back to communities through grants, volunteer service and leadership.
“Mr Bell brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the national board and his leadership will provide strong guidance as we expand the industry foundation into additional regions of the country,” says Bruce Basso, chairman of the Board of Governors.
Swiss Re is extensively involved in the IICF. Swiss Re Underwriters Agency Head of Marketing Francesca Marc-Antonio serves on the New York division board of directors. We also hosted IICF Career Day for New York City high school students and will participate in volunteer projects as part of IICF's Volunteer Week 16-23 October.
“The insurance industry can be a force for good in society and the IICF is a key enabler when it comes to addressing underserved populations,” says Bell. “It’s an honor to serve this organization and carry forward Swiss Re’s commitment to corporate citizenship in a meaningful way.”
The IICF was established in 1994 and is directed and funded by the insurance industry. The Foundation seeks to help communities and enrich lives by uniting the collective strengths of the industry to provide grants, volunteer service and leadership.
