Swiss Re and the ICRC: A knowledge-sharing partnership

Risk assessment is an important area for the International Committee of the Red Cross and Swiss Re. On the occasion of Swiss Re’s renewal of its partnership with the ICRC Corporate Support Group, ICRC President Jakob Kellenberger explains how the two organizations share knowledge for a common goal.

Swiss Re is one of the founding members of the ICRC Corporate Support Group. Established in 2005, the Group’s objective is not only for private business to support the ICRC financially, but to also exchange know-how.

We met ICRC President Jakob Kellenberger at the Swiss Re Centre for Global Dialogue, where he discussed his views on the collaboration between Swiss Re and the ICRC and how the interconnectedness of risk helps both learn from each other.
