The Swiss Re Healthcare team hosted its annual client event on the eve of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) conference on 12 October. More than 100 guests arrived by water taxi or shuttle to attend the cocktail reception and dinner event, which was held against the dramatic backdrop of the Tampa waterfront at the brand new Tampa Museum of Art. 

ASHRM is dedicated to the healthcare risk management industry and attracts clients, brokers and insurers from across the healthcare industry. More than 2,000 professionals attend the conference to discuss risk management trends and solutions. As one of the industry's largest events, ASHRM provides an outstanding opportunity for industry professionals to convene and network. The Swiss Re team maximized the opportunity and hosted more than 40 formal client meetings during the conference, with many other informal meetings taking place over the course of the conference.    

In his welcoming remarks, Markus Zwyssig, Head of Swiss Re's Professional & Financial Services unit, emphasized Swiss Re's strong commitment to our clients and the healthcare marketplace overall. He also stressed that deep industry expertise, disciplined underwriting and client focus are critical components of a strong, stable and reliable partner for our clients. This is the primary goal Swiss Re strives to achieve.    

"The evening event for our clients and brokers provided the Swiss Re team with an important opportunity to acknowledge our appreciation for the strong relationships we currently have, as well share a flavor of the beautiful Gulf coast and Florida weather with our strategic customers," added Zwyssig.

Additionally, Boris Frehner, Head of the Healthcare team, within the Corporate Solutions division, participated in the AON healthcare panel, which was attended by an audience of approximately 60 professionals. Boris presented and discussed the healthcare challenges and trends from an insurer's perspective. It was an ideal opportunity to increase the visibility of our capabilities and communicate our growth appetite and aspirations to this audience.
