Liability for Expert Underwriters
|Line of Business:||Property & Casualty|
|Date:||19 - 21 Aug 2019|
This course is designed for experienced liability underwriters who wish to gain a deeper insight into complex liability insurance topics within a short period. Preferably, participants have already completed the Advanced level course. The course appeals to those who enjoy the challenge of group assignments on particular liability issues and like to elaborate within multicultural working groups on particular current issues (e.g. Cyber Risks, Emerging Risks).
Background requirements - To attend this seminar, participants should have:
• Attended "Topics for Liability Underwriters" course or have equivalent training and experience, i.e. at least 8 years of Liability underwriting or comparable experience (e.g. as a loss adjuster)
• Broad knowledge of all kind of Liability insurance 'products'
Swiss Re Institute reserves the right to postpone applications from candidates not yet fulfilling above prerequisites.
New liability scenarios are a challenging subject, even after many years of underwriting practice and they need to be taken into account in the underwriting process. The exchange of experienced underwriters is very helpful in order to deepen the individual knowledge. Even senior Underwriters will profit from this international group of people being able to share the acquired news to the colleagues, clients, brokers etc. during their daily underwriting practice.
Special focus probably will be on cyber risks and (re-)insurance/underwriting of cyber risks. Additional content to be covered includes modelling of risk factors and loss scenarios, accumulation exposure, environmental issues in Europe, food safety and emerging risks (agenda subject to slight changes).
