This two-week course addresses those who have limited experience in marine insurance, but wish to gain a comprehensive overview within a short period of time. Participants will broaden their horizon by meeting other "citizens" of the global marine "village", while enjoying the challenge of group assignments. It is less suitable for insurance practitioners with long-standing marine experience.
Participants learn the fundamentals and different classes of marine insurance business in order to develop their individual underwriting skills and enhance their general understanding of marine reinsurance. They will also become familiar with a broad range of other marine issues on a national and international level.
