PUMA - Professional Underwriting of Project Insurance
PUMA (Project Underwriting Management Application) represents a joint effort by senior engineering underwriters and IT developers to provide Swiss Re's engineering business partners with a comprehensive yet easy-to-use costing tool for project insurance underwriting.
PUMA supports the underwriting process of project insurance covers provided for industrial, infrastructure and building projects. It enables engineering underwriters to consider specific project parameters and elaborate quotations in a consistent and systematic manner, including recommendations on exposures, relevant clauses and risk management.
In view of the amount of intellectual property invested into this tool, distribution is limited to clients who have a solid relationship with Swiss Re in project insurance activities. A license and a specific training are required to install and use PUMA. For more information, please contact your Swiss Re engineering underwriter.
