Swiss Re Mexico comes 57th in the ranking of the 100 Best Workplaces

For the second year running our Mexico office was awarded with the Great Place to Work (GPTW) certification, which means that in 2016 we are once again among the 100 Best Workplaces in the country in terms of organizational climate and culture. The Awards Ceremony was held at the Hotel Camino Real in Mexico City on 26 April 2016.

Out of the 350 candidates in this edition, just 100 were ranked in the category of companies with 500 to 5,000 employees and multinationals in which Swiss Re Mexico participated.

Great Place to Work conducts direct surveys to evaluate each participating workplace, taking into account employees' feeling of belonging to their work center and commitment to the company's projects. Teamwork, a long-term vision and sharing the same values as the company are assessed.

"Being invited to this recognition event was a very proud experience for me, as it is a pleasure to work in a company that makes the effort and has the interest to have an adequate working environment for all of employees. In general it was a very interesting experience because you can be aware of the impact this is having to the companies in Mexico, the enthusiasm of the employees and be part of a community that improves the relation between the organizations", said Karina Ivonne Ruiz Frias.

"It will always be an honor for me to receive this type of recognition and it is highly satisfying to know that Swiss Re is one of the top 100 companies with the best workplaces and working environments. It was really interesting to see how many companies we were benchmarked against and the criteria assessed. Obviously there is still much to be done and plenty of room for improvement if we want to climb higher in this category in the years ahead. Just to be on this list already says a lot about our employees' day-to-day observations and experiences in the organization," conclude Ignacio Lucario.
